Na semana passada estivemos com Eliseu Almeida, um dos representantes do BiclaLx que decidiu compactuar com o nosso projecto, e dar a conhecer este grupo de amigos "amantes da cultura e da bicicleta".

Last week we had the opportunity to be with Eliseu Almeida, a representant of BiclaLx that decided to help us with our project, by getting known this group of friends "passionate about culture and ridding bikes".

We are here today with Eliseu Almeida representing Bicla Lx , tell us how did this ideia started?

In the begining I was scared of ridding bike in the city but now I'm confident about that, it is faster and economic. Besides using the bike as a transportation I also play hockey and I noticed that every time we didn't play it they were at home watching TV and sitting in their couch. I decided to make bike rides so that they could come with me to ride in the city, the Route of the Sights. After I organized the first 3 tours they came back to the couch, so I decided to start inviting other friends.

How about the market? You are know working in the portuguese market, have you ever though about giving the next step?

Yes, but since we all have jobs, and the activity is of us to have fun and those that come to our rides. We would like to live from this activity that is really interesting and captivating.

How about the next Routes?

We have two new routes, Route of Art Galleries with a tour to the Geology Museum and the Route of High School that have been designed by famous architects. And next month we will have an amazing tour  

And know suggest people at home to come to these tours.

Since we know Lisbon well when we make a tour we do it in a secure and easy way. The tours have a maximum of 20 km, the themes are interesting and those who want to come are invited. The insurance is really important to have, it can be the insurance of Federação Portuguesa de Ciclismo ou a Federação de Utilizadores de Bicicleta. Or if you don't have it you can contact us 3 days before the tour and we will do it for a price of 5 €. Since we are amateurs we invite people to come on these free tours.
